I found the world of bodywork after spending two decades in events, public service, and administrative jobs.  Following cravings for change and greater connection with my body, I started studying massage therapy at McKinnon Body Therapy Center.  The experience of learning, practicing, and meeting other bodyworkers was transformative.  After I completed my training and became certified, the next part of my journey began: I opened my own practice, joined the McKinnon Graduate Massage Clinic, and committed myself to doing volunteer massage work.  Now, I’m thrilled to be part of the school teaching team!

Helping people is my main goal.  I believe that massage therapy gives us a unique toolkit for doing that, from hands-on techniques to listening skills to practicing self-care for ourselves.  My hands-on work is based on the Swedish, deep tissue, and lymphatic drainage modalities.  My approach is rooted in my personal yoga and meditation practices.  I remain in awe of humans and the human body, and I’m always on the path for more knowledge and understanding.  Whether in the clinic or in the classroom, I love working with different kinds of people and sharing the wide-reaching joys and benefits of massage.
