  • Rental details:
    • “Hello! We are looking for a third bodywork practitioner to share a studio / treatment room at the professionally managed Sima Space within the Pill Hill neighborhood of Oakland (Summit & 30th). The room is currently shared by three massage therapists, but one is moving overseas so we are looking for a third to replace her. The building is professionally managed, cleaned, and secure with a parking lot with ample space for clients. The building is open/available 24/7. The treatment room is one of three rooms at Sima Space, the other two occupied by Psychologists who normally are present 9-5. The three offices share a big waiting area with hot/cold water dispenser, microwave and comfortable seating. The room itself is not very large, but just big enough for a massage table (already setup) with a table warmer, as well as a cabinet for storage, and a client chair. The room has an air filter and air conditioner. Rent is $333 monthly with a $333 deposit and after a month trial period, you will be month to month and we ask you to commit to give at least a 30 day notice. For this investment you can use the room about 2.3 days a week, or 33% of the week, with scheduling flexibility to book the space on any day of the week. Currently, the practitioners use a Google Calendar to book in and reserve the room as they schedule clients, and this has been working well. E is an established massage therapist and zero balancing practitioner, who works both in and out of the Sima Space, also doing massage outcalls and some chair massage. D (a graduate from McKinnon) is a yoga teacher and established massage therapist and reiki practitioner who works both in and out of the Sima Space also doing some massage outcalls and corporate chair massage events. If you are interested in a different arrangement for scheduling (such as blocking off a whole day for yourself), or need to book more than 33% of the time, E & D are flexible to have that discussion and discuss how to financially adjust the rent to accommodate that.”
