“Massage Therapist Wanted for Busy Acupuncture Practice in Oakland
I’m seeking a part-time massage therapist to join my busy private practice in Oakland, CA.
My practice shares a four-treatment-room suite with two chiropractors – it is a harmonious space – in our clinic we value communication, and good qi flow. We have been together for 8+ years, and often cross-refer. My practice utilizes two of the four treatment rooms. The suite is on the third floor of a small professional building in the Adam’s Point neighborhood of Oakland.
My acupuncture practice is primarily woman-centered (but all humans are welcome), and my personal specialties include fertility, pregnancy, and reproductive health across the age spectrum. In the past, it has worked brilliantly having a massage therapist on staff as a complement to my acupuncture practice. Bonus if you have experience in prenatal massage and Mayan abdominal massage.
I am interested in hiring someone who doesn’t love the business side of things, and wishes someone else could provide clients while they show up and do their best work. You aren’t planning on starting your own practice – you want somewhere to root down and flourish, with excellent support. I can offer two days per week to start (Tuesdays and Sundays), adding more days in the future (if you want). If your dream is to have your own practice, this is probably not a good fit for you.
Compensation:
- This is a part-time employee position
- Compensation is $45 +tips for a 60-minute massage; and $70 +tips for a 90-minute massage
- Malpractice insurance is offered under my clinic (or, I will contribute to your premiums if you already have your own policy)
