Gina Moore, BA, CMT, CLT

“In 2010, twenty years into my technology career, I completed McKinnon’s 500-hour program.  When I took the THCC course, it inspired a new dream career serving cancer and hospice patients. Over the next decade, I focused on expanding my education and experience while continuing in tech and maintaining a private massage practice.   After McKinnon, I studied with Isabel Adkins and Gayle MacDonald in Davis, CA through the “Massage for People Living With Cancer” program.  At the Academy of Lymphatic Studies, I completed their Lymphedema Certification program and received accreditation as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). For my hospice massage education, I pursued classes from Irene Smith, the pioneer of this modality under the tutelage of Elisabeth Kubler-Ross. Also feeling a strong pull towards Craniosacral Therapy as a gentle modality, I completed the full core program (128 hours) at Upledger Institute.

In 2022, I retired from technology to fully dedicate myself to therapeutic work. I now serve patients at Stanford Cancer Center in Pleasanton,  have worked with hundreds of cancer patients over the years and educate them in lymphedema risk reduction.  In my private practice, I serve regular clients but also do home visits for elderly and hospice.  As a curriculum developer and instructor at McKinnon, I’ve come full circle—returning to where my dream began!
