What You’ll Do:
– Perform therapeutic massage sessions (Swedish, deep tissue, and combination techniques) in 60-, 75-, and 90-minute formats.
– Incorporate aromatherapy into every session (it’s standard at Almonte — included, not an add-on).
– Offer CBD and Hot Stone enhancements when appropriate for the client’s needs.
– Maintain SOAP notes and client progress records in Booker.
– Communicate with front desk about client preferences, session outcomes, and scheduling needs.
– Keep your treatment room clean, stocked, and ready for the next guest.
– Participate in ongoing training and team check-ins.
Who You Are:
Licensed. You hold a current California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) certification. This is non-negotiable.
Reliable. You show up on time. You don’t call out unless it’s a real emergency. Your clients and your team can count on you.
Skilled. You have a solid foundation in Swedish and deep tissue technique. Experience with hot stone, prenatal, or sports massage is a bonus.
Professional. You communicate clearly, maintain appropriate boundaries, and treat every guest with warmth and respect.
Team-oriented. You’re not just here to do your sessions and disappear. You care about the spa running well and you pitch in when it matters.
What You’ll Earn:
– Average per session earnings of $85-90/hr
– Base hourly pay at or above California minimum wage for all hours worked.
– Service bonus that brings your effective per-session rate well above the local average for each booked massage hour.
– 20% commission on add-ons (CBD and Hot Stone enhancements) — because your recommendations drive revenue.
– $250/month reliability bonus for therapists with consistent attendance. Show up, get paid more. Simple.
– Tips averaging: $35 – $40/hr session
