This 8-hour course presents students with an overview of what scar tissue is, why it is formed by the body, and effective bodywork techniques to support functional healing. Scar tissue is an important component of successful wound healing. But it can also create restrictions to movement. Bodywork techniques may reduce restrictions and improve scar functionality. This material is not presented as medical massage and is not a substitute for medical care.
